"Those definitely were a reference for Disco Dots," the designer says of the oversize polka-dot rugs. "It's very '70s, '80s New York: Studio 54, Halston, Bill Blass." Though polka dots might read as traditional, Bikoff notes, "the dots are oversize so it feels more like an art installation."

"You see your sign and you're interested in it." Though the Disco Dots pattern is available in several color combinations, Zodiac was designed in a fixed palette. "It has to be the midnight sky," Bikoff explains.
