The Big Bang TheoryStar Johnny Galecki Puts Fire-Damaged California Ranch on the Market

The sitcom star purchased the home for $1.2 million back in 2011

Johnny Galecki recognizes that it’s finally time to move on.The Big Bang Theorystar recently put his longtime Santa Margarita, California, getaway on the market for a modest $825,000, approximately a year and a half after wildfires largelydevastated the property. The 160-acre estate, which he purchased for $1.2 million in 2011, previously played host to a main 3,588-square-foot log cabin with three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms, but that burned down completely in the fire. What remains now is a 4,000-square-foot barn-style workshop with space for a tractor and/or an RV, plus a separate 1,000-square-foot unfinished two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment with its own outside entrance; several rustic outbuildings scattered across seven acres of vineyards; an elaborate, though unfilled, infinity-edge swimming pool and spa; and several ponds and water storage tanks, critical assets for an otherwise very dry, arid area. (For those wine enthusiasts, the vineyards are comprised of five acres of Cabernet vines and two of Zinfandel). Also growing on the property are pomegranate, orange, and nut trees.

Thankfully, Galecki has other properties to fall back on, notably his5,334-square-foot Hollywood Hills home, which he purchased from action star Jason Statham and his wife, Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, in 2015. The $9.2 million home boasts six bedrooms, six bathrooms, living and family rooms, a gym, a breakfast area, a library, an office, and a den, as well as a landscaped swimming pool and outdoor dining patio. Interestingly, prior to being owned by Statham and Huntington-Whiteley, the celebrity-pedigreed home previously belonged to Ben Stiller.
