Cold Picnic

February 14, 2022Cold Picnicreleased their Dessert Collection in February and the abstract collection was a nostalgic homage to sweet delicacies. Each piece was inspired by and named after Taiwanese and English desserts like mochi, taro, sherbert, and more. The welcoming designs were the first from the brand to be produced in delicate Bamboo silk yarn.

Lulu and Georgia x Sarah Sherman Samuel

February 22, 2022– Multi-disciplinary designer and artistSarah Sherman Samuelteamed up with Lulu and Georgia (again!) for an equally enviable collection ofrugs, pillows, and wallpaper early in the year. This checkerboard wallpaper was a particular standout to us, thanks to its surprisingly neutral and quirky feel (and it’s even available at a discount right now!).

Chairish x Kassatex

March 17, 2022– You can still add a touch of whimsy to your bathroom with this darling collab fromChairishand the textile gurus at Kassatex. Inspired by the beautifully ornate, colorful, and one-of-a-kind products found on Chairish, each scalloped edge towel is especially perfect for anyone looking to create an unexpectedcottagecoremoment while washing up.

Jake Arnold for Parachute

May 15, 2022– In mid May, French American designerSophie Lou Jacobsenand Brooklyn-based shop Assembly Line collaborated on a collection of splurge-worthy vessels with few remaining. Named Asking for a Friend, the collection was a dreamy pack of multicolored hand-blown glass vessels that are beautiful enough to stand alone or house a few vibrant botanicals.

Kule x West Elm

June 1, 2022——这带来了重度le to our face in June was this collab between New York–based brand Kule and West Elm. If you’re in need of an uplifting set of throw pillows, towels, or perhaps a sentient bath mat, a few of the very cheery items designed by Nikki Kule are still available.

Lego x MoMA

June 1, 2022– Lego lovers were likely thrilled to see the brand team up with MoMA to give Van Gogh’s impressionist masterpiece Starry Night a playful makeover in the form of a 3D rendering. Consisting of over 2,000 pieces (and a mini Vincent figurine!), we still recommend tackling this grown-up puzzle project with a determined group of friends and maybe a bottle of wine (or two).

Marimekko x Mansur Gavriel

June 7, 2022– Marimekko and Mansur Gavriel came together to add some color to your handbag rotation in June. Marrying the Finnish design house’s playful prints with the New York–based brand’s superior leather craftsmanship, the collection’s lineup of totes, bucket bags, and pouches included this very cheeky homage tostrawberry seasonwe’re still obsessing over.

Tom Sachs x Nike

October 7, 2022– This year Tom Sachs embarked on a new collection with Nike, a decade following his first sought-after partnership with the brand. Along with the covetable kicks, the artist and designer unveiled “Tom Sachs: Furniture,” an exhibition that was shown in Chicago’s Stony Island Arts Bank, and “Tom Sachs: Spaceships,” previously on display at New York’s Acquavella Galleries.

Joya Studio xEverything Everywhere All at Once

June 16, 2022– We love a quirky candle, and Joya Studio’s homage to Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert’s A24 epic,Everything Everywhere All at Once,was one of the best wax creations we saw all year. “Scented for laundromats and multiverses,” this 3D wax replica of Jamie Lee Curtis’s Deirdre Beaubeirdre’s auditor-of-the-month award is the ideal olfactory escape into another reality.

June 23, 2022– Sabai introduced the City Table this year: A forward-thinking coffee-table design made in partnership with eco-focused companyCambium Carbon. Recycled steel and fallen urban trees from Baltimore were sourced for the table’s solid ash top, with the design drawing wider inspiration from New York City’s landscapes to combine “the best of the built world and natural environment.”

Eny Lee Parker x Mitzi

July 22, 2022– For the third installment of their Tastemaker series, Mitzi tapped Clever-favorite designerEny Lee Parkerfor a scene-stealing collection of lighting fixtures. Thoughtfully designed and accessibly priced, the collection was a success, and you can still snag a few of the stylish pieces—like this multidimensional textured sconce in a pearly white.

Sophie Collé x Areaware

August 3, 2022Sophie Collé’s collab with Areaware was another one of our favorite team-ups this year. Incorporating Sophie’s bright color palette and playful design style, the Splat mini tables were just the breath of fresh air our space had been needing.

Vitruvi

September 7, 2022– Since its arrival in September, Vitruvi’s Cloud Humidifier has been keeping our sinuses clear and chapped lips stylishly at bay. September 15, 2022– Everything in Athena Calderone’s collaboration with Crate & Barrel was a worthy pick-up (just ask Clever’s editors!). From larger furniture pieces to smaller decor items—like these lovely candle holders—the design star’s collection was one that had us all swooning.

September 21, 2022– We also recommend securing a piece fromHay’s limited edition collaboration with Herman Millerbefore the new year. September 27, 2022– We still think Our Place’s tableware set is the perfect splurge for the host or hostess who loves entertaining. October 13, 2022– This handsome cart from Afternoon Light, Ghetto Gastro, and Swiss manufacturer USM was another launch that delighted us this year. With a modular wheel design that features two sliding drawers, a mid-section shelf, and a roomy bottom cabinet with two drop-down doors, we think it’s an especially fashionable way to store your favorite spices, often-used pots and pans, daily dishware, or even use as a mini prep station.

November 3, 2022– In November, Byredo and Laila Gohar came out with the perfect collab for anyone who enjoys taking selfies with their food as much as actually eating it. December 1, 2022– Rounding out the list is this team up between Copenhagen-based Tekla and French fashion house Jacquemus.
